Canon XL1S DV Camcorder
Canon’s XL1S takes the features in the company’s XL1 model and adds 27 new specifications, including improved picture quality and new manual functions. SK-31B HDTV camera
As part of Hitachi’s SK-3300 HDTV camera series, the new SK-31B is ideal for organizations seeking cost reduction through deployment of robotics in both studio and field applications. Hitachi takes high-definition one step further by offering both native 720p and 1080i outputs within the SK-31B, eliminating the need for video signal manipulation through costly third party converters to achieve the desired format. The Digital CameraMan
The Digital CameraMan 3-CCD robotic pan/tilt camera from ParkerVision is a compact, digital camera/robotics/lens package. Available in a fixed 4:3 aspect ratio or a switchable version covering both 4:3 and 16:9 wide-screen applications, the system includes three super-sensitive CCDs. A horizontal resolution of up to 850 TV lines, 65 dB signal-to-noise ratio, SMPTE 259M component SDI video output and an 18 x 6.7 mm lens, the camera is suitable for a variety of professional uses. The SHOT Director camera controller allows the user to control the camera’s movement from as far away as 2,500 feet. Up to 16 cameras can be controlled by one person through an RS-485 networking port. One hundred twenty-five presets allow operators to automatically pan, tilt, zoom, focus, or change camera settings. Digital CameraMan can also be combined with the company’s PVTV Studio System for production of high quality programming at a low cost.

AG-DVX100 DV cinema camera
The Panasonic AG-DVX100 mini-DV 3CCD camcorder features the company’s CineSwitch technology, which supports 480i/60 (NTSC), cinema-style 480p/24fps and 480p/30fps image capture. Equipped with 1/3-inch progressive-scan 410,000 pixel 3-CCD imagers, it delivers more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution, low smear and flare, and a low light performance of 3 lux. Manual controls allow the user to make subtle picture adjustments, while a wide-angle zoom lens offers a 56-degree viewing angle. The 4.2 lb. camcorder captures pictures in conventional 4:3 aspect ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio letterbox modes. DSR-370L DVCAM camcorder
Sony’s DSR-370L DVCAM camcorder offers mobility, flexibility, and quality at a price point under $10,000.
