AKG Acoustics U.S.
Opens New Headquarters

In a physical move that will provide it with a dedicated facility to house its U.S. operations, AKG Acoustics today announced the opening of a new headquarters building in Nashville. The new facility virtually doubles the space formerly occupied by this leading microphone manufacturer and creates more room for the company to expand as necessary according to Doug MacCallum, vice president and general manager, AKG Acoustics U.S.
“Our former Harman Pro North America facility of 30,000 sq. ft. served us well for five years, but it was recognized that as our growth continued, the need to move to a facility that could effectively grow with us was essential,” MacCallum said today. “We have doubled our warehouse space, increased the office space dramatically and added a new conference and training facility for employees and reps. In essence, we’re much better equipped to handle not only our existing distribution and operational functions, but to further expand as necessary.”

The new address is 914 Airpark Center Drive, Nashville, TN, 37217. The new primary phone and fax numbers are, respectively, (615) 620-3800 and (615) 620-3875.

Oral Roberts Upgrades
With Euphonix Consoles

Euphonix, Inc. today announced an order for two CS3100 audio mixing consoles from the Oral Roberts broadcasting organization in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The new consoles will replace aging ADM consoles in their current location as part of a major facility renovation. Mike Franklin, Director of Southeast US Sales for Euphonix, says, “There was stiff competition on upgrading the consoles in the Oral Roberts broadcast control rooms. Euphonix won out for many reasons, but one was the affordability of the CS3100 console. The CS consoles are an amazing bargain for mid-range broadcasters that aren’t concerned with an all-digital path.” Franklin notes, “The Euphonix

System 5 is truly the premium digital console available today. But many facilities need something a bit more affordable. The CS3100’s digitally controlled analog audio fits that need. Plus, the CS is extremely reliable for an analog console. We’ve installed many where we only had to service them once over several years.”
