A Cool Digital Find for Musicians…

Corevalus' Same Page system brings the digital world live to your music stand.

Last week at the Willow Creek Arts Conference, Acoustic Dimensions' booth was next to Corevalus where I met Bill Klaber.  During our down time, Bill gave me a demo of Corevalus' Same Page system.

Essentially, it is a digital music stand.  The worship leader has the main station, which contains the music library, but the system goes far beyond a sheet of music that reproduces itself at all of the other music stands.  Like all things "digital world" it connects in exponential ways.

The Same Page system allows you to label which stand belongs to which type of musician allowing you to send chord sheets to guitarists and sheet music to the pianist and brass section-retaining different markups for each.  The worship leader can also add a new song into the mix or make mark ups, transpose and capo, live because the main station is a touch screen.

There is an instant messaging system allowing you to communicate with anyone or everyone. (I particularly liked the "more cowbell" message on the demo.)

Pages are turned by tapping a foot pedal or by touch on the screen and the whole thing interfaces with MediaShout.  The MediaShout link synchronizes both play lists, allows for on-the-fly music additions by the worship leader during the service, and provides a communication link between the stage and tech booth.

The new release even allows the worship leader to control the monitor mix using  Pro Co's Momentum Personal Monitor Mixing System.

Developed by worship leaders for worship leaders, the Same Page system is a great example of the church leading the way in the digital world-making possible what was never possible before.  The SamePage motto is " We've put spontaneity back in worship" and it's easy to see why.
