Featuring an Integrated DriveCore technology chip these amps offer greater than 90 percent efficiency with no compromise in performance and a signal-to-noise ratio of 110 dB. DriveCore also has patented feedback and protection circuits integrated into the silicon for fast and accurate response. www.harman.com
Line 6XD Series Digital Wireless Microphone Systems
Line 6’s new XD Series line includes two handheld cardioid microphone systems and two beltpack systems. Each digital wireless system broadcasts in the 2.4 GHz band, avoiding interference from high-powered sources and allows for license-free use worldwide. Line 6’s new DCL (Digital Channel Lock) and PDP (Proprietary Data Placement) technologies provide encoded digital transmissions, governing against interference and audio artifacts, and ensure reliable operation in hostile RF environments. They offer 10 Hz - 20,000 Hz frequency response, up to 120 dB dynamic range, and 24-bit digital conversion to the limits of their ranges. www.line6.com
QSC AudioKW Series Loudspeakers
Similar to QSC’s existing K Series, the new KW Series powered loudspeakers feature compact Baltic birch enclosures that are substantially lighter than other wood enclosures in this class. They offer M10 suspension points on the full-range models making them appropriate for portable and installed applications. The KW122 is a 12-inch, two-way multipurpose loudspeaker, the KW152 is a 15-inch, two-way trapezoidal version, KW153 features a 15-inch, three-way design in a trapezoidal enclosure and the KW181 is an 18-inch subwoofer. Renkus-HeinzIC Squared Digitally Steerable Line Array
The new IC Squared from Renkus Heinz is a digitally steerable line array that combines the power and focus of point-source loudspeaker technology with the control and flexibility of a digitally steered array --- a first for the industry according to the company. Four eight-inch low frequency Neodymium transducers and one-inch Titanium Nitride-coated HF drivers offer high-SPL point-source performance, while individual steering control of each driver are designed to give the IC2 excellent vertical pattern control for maximum intelligibility, even in the most reverberant spaces. www.renkus-heinz.com
Harman ProStuder Vista 9 Digital Console
Building on Studer’s Vista 5, 6, 7 and 8 desks, the Vista 9 supplements the company’s Vistonics interface with an innovative wide screen-based TFT metering called FaderGlow. The new metering gives precision feedback on signal status and shows mono through 7.1 channel signals. A unique History Mode records events such as overloads in the audio path of each channel, and highlights them on the channel waveform. The operator can review which channel had such an event up to 30 seconds afterward. Furthermore, all stereo inputs and stereo masters have a correlation meter bar above the bargraph display. www.harman.com
