As part of the VLF Series of Versatile Low Frequency systems, Community is introducing three new products: the dual eight-inch VLF208LV, the single 15-inch VLF115, and the single 18-inch VLF118. The VLF208LV offers low frequencies from a slim-profile design. Its low velocity port design extends the response, delivers low-end power, and eliminates air noise through the steel perforated grille. The VLF115 and VLF118 each are designed to offer powerful bass with a half-space sensitivity of 98 dB in a slim, modern style. Available in portable and installation versions. www.communitypro.com

d&b audiotechnik announces the addition to its E-Series Black range of loudspeakers, the E4 and E5 loudspeakers. The new loudspeakers are lightweight two-way passive versions that employ a four-inch and five-inch low-frequency driver respectively and a coaxially mounted wide-dispersion dome tweeter. Both are mounted in compact enclosures and offer symmetrical dispersion patterns in the horizontal and vertical plane, while the cabinets may be mounted in either attitude. Digico announces the SD10-24, a console with a 15-inch touch sensitive screen with 25 100-mm faders. The console offers features such as 96 channels, 48 busses, and local I/O containing, among others, eight mic inputs and eight line outputs. Channel delay, single and multi-channel presets, and four bands of parametric EQ with band curve selection are all included in standard input channel processing. Eight bands of parametric EQ and dual insert points are included in standard output channel processing. The console also provides control of plug-in parameters, as well as recall of snapshots and single loading/saving, directly from the work surface. www.digiconsoles.com

Primacoustic announces an addition to its line of acoustical ceiling treatments: the Black StratoTile. The product features a ¾-inch thick, high-density, glass wool construction to absorb sound. The tiles are encapsulated in fine micromesh with sealed edges to retain the minute glass fibers. Primacoustic says the StratoTile works with the air space above the panel to absorb all frequencies down to 125 Hz. The StratoTile is available in both square and rectangular panel sizes. Designed and tested to meet the ASTM-E84 fire and smoke development requirements for Class-A designation, the product is reportedly safe to use anywhere. www.primacoustic.com

Blackmagic Design announces SmartView HD, a full-resolution HD six-rack monitor with a 17-inch LCD screen. It features centralized network-based control to allow easy computer color matching when used in multi-monitor installations. SmartView HD also offers features such as SDI/HD-SDI/3G-SDI input with re-clocked loop outputs; tally input with red, green, or blue tally indication; control software panel free for Windows and Mac OS X; and Ethernet input with loop output for remote control. SmartView HD lists for approximately $850.

Canon U.S.A. Inc. introduces the LV-8235 Ultra-Short Throw (UST) multimedia projector. Capable of projecting an 80-inch picture from a distance of 1.04 feet, the LV-8235 UST can sit on a table or be mounted horizontally or vertically on a wall, ceiling, or floor for a variety of 3D or 2D display applications. The use of active shutter-type glasses is required for the 3D display application. The new model provides close proximity with a clear picture at a suggested list price of $1,799.

Two new extenders from Gefen, the GefenPRO DVI FM-1500 and the DVI FM-2000, provide the ability to view high-resolution computer data on a DVI display when the computer is stored in a rack or control room. Both products use modular sender and receiver units that install quickly. The DVI FM-1500 can reach up to 1,640 feet using multi-mode fiber, streamlining installation while eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI). The DVI FM-2000 reaches up to 1,000 feet in distance using two multi-mode fiber optic cables terminated with SC connectors. Two dual-link fiber optic cables provide integrity of delivery without signal quality loss.

Panasonic Solutions Co. introduces the AW-HE120, a new HD integrated camera. The compact camera, offered in white and black, includes a pan-tilt head, a 20X zoom lens that extends from wide-angle to ultra-telephoto, and a 2.2 megapixel U.L.T. 3-MOS image capture system with support for full HD video. The remote operation supports earlier designs and IP connections. The built-in four-position ND filter allows adjustment of the exposure. It is equipped with a high-performance digital signal processor (DSP). The product is available this winter with a suggested list price of less than $10,000.

Now available from TV One, the new 1T-CT-670 series extends HDMI signals to remote display devices using a single fiber optic cable. The HDMI-over-fiber extender system includes the 1T-CT-671 transmitter and the 1T-CT-672 receiver, which constitutes a system used to transmit deep color (12-bits) v1.3 HDMI with HDCP signals at resolutions up to 1,080p. The series can also be used to transmit encrypted, audio-based, graphics data. Signal distribution can be achieved at up to 3,280 feet. The transmitter and receiver products also feature locking power connectors to enhance mechanical security.

ETC introduces the Selador Desire Studio HD, one of three new white-light luminaires designed for studio and stage use. The Studio HD combines warm white, cool white, and color LEDs to provide multiple color temperatures. It is designed to create natural, photogenic light by fine-tuning the Studio HD to match skin tones. Fixtures included are the Studio Tungsten and the Studio Daylight. ETC also introduces the Desire D60 LED-fixture series, providing a brighter 60-LED version of the Studio white-light LED arrays. www.etcconnect.com

GLP introduces its new LED washlight, the GLP Impression Wash One. The Wash One features a 400W RGB LED light engine, a three-degree narrow beam mode, and variable soft-edge beam control that allows softness adjustment. According to GLP, the Impression Wash One delivers delicate color changes or instantaneous color bumps over a wide, carefully calibrated spectrum. With its baseless yoke, the Wash One weighs less than 50 pounds. www.glp.de

Robe says the Robin DLX Spot is the first LED-based spot moving head to utilize an RGBW LED light source. When in color, the output reportedly exceeds that of a 575W discharge source unit, but with an average power consumption of just 260 Watts. It includes a virtual color wheel, which offers selections of true whites and a wide range of pre-programmed colors. It offers features such as a static gobo wheel with nine replaceable slot-and-lock dichroic and glass gobos plus open, a rotating gobo wheel with seven slots and open, a motorized iris, and a separate variable frost effect. www.robe.cz

JB Lighting’s new A12 is designed for applications needing an extra-bright washlight, with output that is comparable to a 1,200W lamp, yet is versatile enough to generate narrow beams, according to a company announcement. A total of 61 RGBW multi-chip LEDs in the 15W class are integrated in the newly developed optical zoom system of the A12. Due to the hexagonally shaped lenses, the luminous field gives a homogenous overall impression, almost comparable to that of a single light source. SeaChanger announces its new product, the 24,000-lumen SeaChanger HMI designed for long-throw or high ambient light situations. The HMI line joins the current SeaChanger range that employs Tungsten and plasma light sources. Available in profile, wash, and exterior-rated models, the SeaChanger HMI uses the SeaChanger Color Engine, a CYM dichroic color mixing system along with a mechanical dimmer.
