Meyer Sound announces the self-powered UPQ-2P narrow coverage loudspeaker. The UPQ-2P operating range is 55 Hz to 18 kHz, with peak SPL of 136 dB. Coverage is 50-degrees by 50-degrees. The UPQ-2P features a low-frequency 15-inch driver and high-frequency four-inch diaphragm compression driver. Its two-channel power amplifier yields a combined output of 1275 Watts. The UPQ-2P’s enclosure includes an integral 1½” diameter pole mount receptacle. Options include custom color finishes.

Galaxy Audio introduces the HDR2 Handheld Digital Recorder. The HDR2 features a built-in flash memory and an SD card port, and records either WAV or MP3 formats. The mini USB 2.0 jack allows for drag-and-drop data transfer. Two internal microphones may be used alone or in conjunction with two ¼-inch inputs (MIC, GUITAR, or LINE levels). The HDR2 also features a stereo line output, stereo headphone output, and an internal speaker for playback.

Audio-Technica’s M3 and M2 Wireless In-Ear Monitor Systems feature A-T’s Personal Mix Control for independent control of volume and mix at the receiver. The M3 features more than 1,250 selectable UHF channels, up to 16 simultaneous systems per frequency band, automatic frequency scanning, and a backlit LCD display. The M2 features100 selectable UHF channels, up to 10 simultaneous systems per frequency band, and LED indicators. Both systems feature XLR loop output, a 3.5 mm line-in jack, and include A-T EP3 earphones.

IC Live applies the company’s Iconyx Digitally Steerable Array technology. The system consists of two components: the full range IC Live array module and ICL215S subwoofer. The IC Live module incorporates five neodymium 6.5-inch cone woofers and three neodymium compression drivers on purpose-designed waveguides. A multi-channel DSP/amplifier controls each transducer individually. Complex signal processing shapes and steers the array’s output. The ICL215S is a dual 15-inch bandpass subwoofer. IC Live arrays can be suspended using industry-standard Aeroquip hardware.

FSR has added the IT-VCM to the Intelli-Tools line. The IT-VCM is a stereo or mono line level volume control module that accepts a balanced or unbalanced stereo audio line level source and provides a balanced stereo output. The module responds to RS-232 commands and manual controls including volume up/down ramping and audio levels. Additional IT-VCM modules can be daisy-chained to control multiple sources.

The Emerge MPX extender, the MPX1500T high-definition (HD) multipoint extender transmitter, wirelessly distributes HD content from a source to multiple destinations. The unit’s transmitter has a universal media port based on a digital video interface (DVI) connector. Supporting both digital and analog video signals allows the MPX to use DVI, HDMI, or VGA signals. The product can also perform a VGA to DVI conversion if a source is a computer and a display needs to be digital.

The M470SWP Digital Signage Solution is an all-in-one system that features an LCD monitor, a set-top box with digital signage templates for content creation/management, and a hard drive for media storage. The M470SWP is available in three packages: the Plus Package with a 1080p display and full featured media player; the Plus 1 Package that can accept 480i/480p component input via cable or satellite STB and output 480i/480p; and the Plus 2 Package that can accept 720p/1080i component input via cable or satellite STB and output 720p/1080i.

Canon’s REALiS SX80 Multimedia Projector features SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050) and delivers 3,000 lumens of brightness at a contrast ratio of 900:1. The display area is compatible with computer-display formats such as WXGA and SXGA, with an entire SXGA screen displayed in true proportions. A USB port enables connection to a “flash” or “jump” drive, or a PictBridge-compatible digital camera or camcorder directly to the projector.

Extron Electronics introduces GlobalViewer Enterprise, a new server-based software for managing and supporting larger A/V installations using a Web browser. It provides an easy upgrade path for existing users of Extron’s free GlobalViewer Web application using configuration wizards, not programming. Compatible with any Web browser, GlobalViewer Enterprise provides enterprise-wide global scheduling and monitoring, time-stamped A/V system data collection for reporting, and also supports integration of rooms controlled by other programmable control systems, such as AMX and Crestron.

Christie debuts the Christie LW400 WXGA projector, featuring 4,000 ANSI lumens and native WXGA resolution (1280 x 800) enabling video or widescreen PC resolutions and true HD video playback. In addition, the new inorganic 3LCD light-engine provides greater contrast and deep black levels. The unit is configured with six standard inputs, YPbPr, and composite video to accept a broad range of sources (up to 1080p). The projector also features a long-lasting filter and a lamp life up to 3,000 hours.

Gefen offers its DVI-1500HD. One four-link LC-LC multimode fiber cable delivers hi-def video from sender to receiver, up to 500 meters (1640-feet), supporting resolutions to 1080p full HD or 1920 x1200 for computers. HDCP-compliant video may be extended up to 100 meters (330 feet) using an additional CAT-5 cable for DDC transmission. The package includes one DVI cable to connect the sender unit to the source device, and two 5v power supplies to drive long-distance extension.

Elation Professional’s Opti RGB has switched to Neutrik three-pin Data Connectors for DMX In/Out, improving the connection durability. The fixture was also awarded cETL approval, a recognized industry standard in both the United States and Canada, indicating the highest levels of quality and safety. Available in black or white, the fixture offers full RGB color mixing and draws 45W at full use. An optional 45-degree lens kit and barn doors are available.

Dream Solutions (LightFactory) announces the LightFactory Interface Builder, an add-on to the LightFactory software. This standalone application allows the creation of custom graphical lighting control surfaces. With drag-and-drop operation, a user can build graphic interfaces with an assortment of modern looking controls, including labels, images, buttons, sliders, date and time label, gradient painter, and more. Interfaces can be run locally or remotely from a LightFactory system. The latest version of LightFactory and the Interface Builder are free to download.

Two iPhone and iPod touch applications developed by Wybron bring a high-tech approach to choosing and mixing colors for the company’s color scrollers. The Gel Swatch Library lets users browse, compare, and search nearly 1,000 gel colors made by GAM, Lee, and Rosco, showing similar and complementary colors for each shade. The CXI Color Calculator simulates the color-mixing capabilities of the CXI with two overlapping gelstrings of cyan, magenta, and yellow.

Epson’s Discproducer is an integrated desktop disc duplication solution that generates up to 30 CDs or 13 DVDs per hour. Discproducer enables the creation of individualized disc content, label content, or both, at quantities of 1-100 discs per job. Discproducer features Epson’s patented AcuGrip robotic technology to minimize double-disc feeding and to move discs from station to station, preventing damage from sliding media. The unit also features a built-in, six-color inkjet printer. One set of ink cartridges can create more than 1,000 discs.

The SeaChanger Color Engine, a dichroic color changer for ETC Source Four Ellipsoidals, offers accessory options, including a 16.5-inch yoke extension to orient the fixture for downlighting installations, a dimmer wheel for 0-99% dimming control, and a barn door accessory mount for the Wash version. The unit reportedly provides color transitions across a wide color palette, with white-to-full saturation color transitions in less than one second. SeaChanger is available in profile, wash, and studio versions.

STiL Design offers a new archival CD/DVD case. Molded in one piece in prime polypropylene for resilience, the case features a new, patented disk-release mechanism. The disk floats off the bottom of the case and is self-releasing to prevent damage to the burned side of the disk. The case also features standardized dimensions for use with any available system, provides protection against environmental damage, and is available with a personalized logo molded in the cover.
