SonyWRT-808A Plug-on Wireless Transmitter
Part of the new Freedom Wireless series, Sony Electronics introduces the WRT-808A Plug-On Transmitter which converts any wired microphone to a wireless microphone. The affordable WRT-808A accepts any standard low Z mic (non-phantom) or line level source and transforms it into a wireless mic. The unit has 10mW/50mW switchable RF output, four hours of battery life (with 2 "AA" alkaline batteries), is light weight and features 94 channels UHF synthesized tuning.

Part of EV's System 2000 Series, the new Sx80 8-in., two-way loudspeaker is designed for situations where an ultra-compact loudspeaker is required. The Sx80 can be stand mounted or permanently installed. Transformer versions and full-face, weather-resistant grilles are available. The high-impact polystyrene enclosure includes a molded-in, 90' x 60', high-frequency horn, and is available in black or white. Electro-Voice says the Sx80 offers a frequency response of 70-20,000 Hz, and has continuous power handling capacity of 175 watts.

Audio-Technica7000-Series UHF Wireless System
Available in either handheld or body pack versions, the Audio-Technica 7000 Series wireless systems feature multi-channel UHF capability of 100 switch-selectable PLL-synthesized channels. Both systems include the ATW-R73 true-diversity receiver in a shielded, half-rack housing. Two units can be mounted side-by-side in a single 19-inch rack space. The body-pack version features the ATW-T75 transmitter that can be used with a variety of lavalier, head-worn, gooseneck or boundary microphones. The ATW-T76 handheld system comes with an Audio-Technica Hi-Energy dynamic microphone.

White Instrument's ParaMedic line of digital sound system equalizers is designed for the requirements of a one- or two-channel system. Seventy available filters can be simultaneously configured as parametric and very narrow notch filters, one-third or one-sixth octave graphic filters, high-pass, low-pass or shelving filters with direct RS-232 control. The new ParaMedic X includes soft or hard-knee digital limiting with adjustable threshold and release and digital two-way crossovers with the choice of Bessel, Butterworth or Linkwitz-Riley characteristics.

Operating in the 690 ' 725 MHz UHF frequency range, up to ten Telex UR-700 systems may be used simultaneously using pre-set frequencies. These true-diversity receivers may be used with Telex HT-700 handheld transmitters, available with a variety of mic elements, and the WT-700 bodypack transmitter for use with lavalier microphones. A five-segment LED meter for the AF aids in setting microphone gains and monitoring receiver microphone and line level outputs. Comes with XLR and '-in. output connections at line or mic level.
MackieM-2600 Power Amplifier
The newest member of Mackie's FR Series of power amplifiers, the M-2600 produces 500 W/channel at eight ohms, 850 W/channel at four ohms and 1,300 W/channel at two ohms. In bridge mode, the M-2600 delivers 1,700 W at four ohms and 2,600 W at two ohms. Output connectors are five-way binding posts and Neutrik Speak-on connectors. The internal subwoofer crossover is selectable at three frequencies using 24-dB-per-octave Linkwitz-Riley filters. Variable low-cut filters are also included.
