Digital ProjectionPC Control Software

New software programs from Digital Projection are designed to make adjusting the company’s Power Display projectors transparent to viewers during live events. Users can now engage off-screen adjustments using Palm Pilot PDA (personal digital assistants) or two PC control packages for laptops to desktop computers. This allows projectionists to make adjustments such as, contrast, brightness and color saturation without bringing up annoying on-screen menus during live events.

NEC TechnologiesMultiSync LT100 DLP Projector

Featuring in excess of 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness and XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, the NEC Technologies MultiSync LT100 DLP Projector weighs just 10 pounds. This ultra portable unit also features and optional PC Card Viewer for a self-contained presentation. End users can now create powerful multimedia presentations and store them to a standard PCMCIA PC card with a memory capacity of 4 Mbytes for future use.

    

Hughes-JVC250SC CRT Projector

The new single lens ILA (Image Light Amplifier) projector from Hughes-JVC is the 250SC. Featuring 5400 ANSI lumens and display resolution of 1700 x 1300, the unit is designed for large-screen, commercial applications. The 2000-watt xenon arc lamp is designed to deliver improved corner to center uniformity, reduced flicker and thermal effect and longer life. The new Graphics Enhancer Plus feature provides software control for crisper images on text and graphics.

    

Telex CommunicationsP1000 LCD Projector

The new ultra portable Telex P1000 produces 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness and weighs less than 10 lbs. With XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, the P1000 includes a remote mouse with PC/Mac control, projector control, laser pointer and on-screen remote (RS-232). The variable image magnification feature can enlarge a portion of an image to 4x or 16x actual size. Built-in PC card accepts images from digital cameras. Projects from the front, rear or ceiling.

    

PioneerUltra-Thin Video Wall

The Pioneer RM-V2550U/E ultra-thin video wall cube series features Pioneer’s 50-inch video cube screen in a cabinet measuring only 29 ' inches in depth. Nearly half the size of standard CRT monitors, the thin cube can be stacked three high, while being configured to any length. The new chimney design allows for flush wall mounting by venting heat from the top of the unit rather than the back. Produces 800 lines of horizontal resolution.

VutecVision X Series Screens

Designed for commercial applications and critical home theater applications, the new Vision X Series of projection screens from Vutec are built to be compatible with DVD, HDTV, other digital delivery systems and all conventional video formats. The line includes five products including the Vision XL or XS for wall or ceiling mounting, the Vision XTC for built in applications, the Vision RX with motorized rising action, and the Vision 2X for standard or wide screen viewing.

    

Da-LiteHorizon Electrol Screen

Da-Lite's new Horizon Electrol screen automatically adjusts between 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio projected images, raising or lowering the screen and positioning the horizontal masking system with the touch of a button. Preset positions include Vide (4:3), HDTV (16:9). Letterbox (1.85:1) and Anamorphic (2.35:1) formats. Da-Lite's motorized masking system insures that the centerline of the projection screen is always in the correct position with respect to the projectro, regardless of the format.

Digital ProjectionPOWER 3gv

The POWER 3gv features a new, compact chassis and is smaller, lighter and more affordable than the company's first-generation of all-digital projectors. Based on Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing (DLP) 1024 x 768 Digital Micromirror Device, it produces high resolution and 3000+ ANSI lumens of light output. A standard motorized lens mount provides significant horizontal and vertical image shift and installation flexibility. Unique Xenon lamp technology is pre-targeted for fast and simple lamp replacement.

EpsonPowerLite 5300

The PowerLite 5300 features 1200 ANSI lumens, SVGA (800 x 600) resolution and a 350:1 contrast ratio for quality presentations'even in less than ideal lighting conditions. PowerLite 5300's LCD incorporates a unique metal sandwich structure that prevents light leakage between pixels. The result' Epson says, vertical "crosstalk" between pixels that plagues less sophisticated projectors is dramatically reduced and the projected image is much sharper and better defined.

EpsonLP1000 Projector

In Focus is positioning the LP1000 as an alternative to CRT projectors. The LP1000 offers 1000 AMSI lumens and SXGA resolution in a system designed for large-venue, fixed installations. Capable of projecting images of up to 500 inches diagonal, In focus says the LP1000 is fully compatible with any computer operating system and supports full-motion video with a contrast ratio of 350:1.
