Showline is a new brand of LED lighting fixtures for performance and theatrical venues from Philips, whose other brands include Vari-Lite, Color Kinetics and Strand. At the LDI Show in Las Vegas last month, the company revealed a complete range of super-efficient, feature-rich, professional entertainment LED luminaires, the Showline SL BAR 640, SL BAR 660, SL BAR 520, and the SL PAR 150.
“When it comes to the complete family of Showline LED luminaires, no other manufacturer has thought out a range of LED products in this manner,” says Brad Schiller, Showline product marketing manager. “Designers and technicians can rest easy knowing that every Showline product is color calibrated, uses the same LCD menu system, the same DMX protocol, the same RDM implementation, and all luminaires utilize the Harmonize color calibration system to ensure accurate color matching between all pixels and luminaires.”
Backed by Philips high design standards, the SL BAR 640 and SL BAR 660 are powerful four-foot and six-foot RGBW linear wash luminaires built to deliver exceptional light output and creative flexibility. Whether used as a wash or as a direct-view linear bar, Philips says the homogenized output will add to any production. With independent module control of the pixels and simple batten connections, the SL BAR 640 and SL BAR 660 are intended to provide maximum flexibility and originality.
The SL BAR 520 is a two-foot RGBW linear wash luminaire that Philips says produces over 8,000 lumens of output with six standard eight-degree lenses and high-resolution pixel mapping control. According to a company announcement, a unique locking system allows for quick connecting of multiple stacked or side-by-side units while retaining perfect pixel pitch. Custom configurations can quickly be created with ease to provide a multitude of creative uses.
The SL PAR 150 is an LED Par that utilizes nine homogenized RGBW LEDs to produce over 3500 lumens of output with an adjustable beam angle range from 10 to 52 degrees. The luminaire includes a dual-purpose yoke that can be used to hang the fixture or as a versatile floor stand.
All Showline luminaires are designed to work seamlessly together and all feature the Harmonize color calibration system, built-in effects, a powerful, auto-orienting LCD menu, multiple dimming curves and color modes, full RDM implementation, as well as a unique strobe control paradigm. In addition, all Showline fixtures utilize industry standard Powercon in/out and five-pin DMX connectors.
