Ross Video and Hitachi Kokusai Electric America have recently announced a new technology partnership, with the first demonstrations of their efforts taking place at the 2016 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Both companies say this new affiliation will focus on high resolution / high frame rate production systems for 4K, 8K, HDR, and IP connectivity, the design of new image capture devices, production switching, and processing equipment for the next generation of media production tools.
With Hitachi's recently developed 4K and 8K camera platforms, these capture devices can now be interfaced with Ross' DashBoard control surface, providing a turnkey system for production engineers across a wide variety of high-resolution applications.
As technologies continue to advance, the companies intend to use this partnership to further common protocols, shared standards and platforms. This integration is geared towards more efficient workflows while providing high quality results from capture through control and output.
