Advancements in video camera technology and new filmmaking applications are changing how the modern church and the world at large communicate to a visual media-consuming society. To explore the shifts taking place in this critical medium, Church Production Magazine Editor and Publisher Brian Blackmore will delve into the evolution of video applications in houses of worship in the panel discussion at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) tradeshow on Tues., Apr. 10, 2018, at 1:50 p.m. in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event will be held in Canon’s booth, #C4325.
Topics Blackmore will ask panel participants to touch on include how product developments, such as those in the area of large-sensor cameras, are changing the way churches communicate to their congregations and local communities.
Panelists weighing in are Robb MacTavish, live production director at Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette, Colo.; Justin Firesheets, production director at Church of the Highlands in Birmingham, Ala.; and Ben McLeod, communications and media pastor at Eastside Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga.
A video of the discussion will be available following NAB (Apr. 7-12, 2018) on www.churchproduction.com.
