
dBTechnologies USA announces that Darrin Young, known in the pro audio industry as B-Side, has joined the company as the new Director of Sales for North America.
“Darrin brings a wealth of expertise and a fresh perspective to his new role, with a proven track record in sales, marketing, training, and driving strategic market growth,” the announcement states. “A musician and DJ with a degree in Psychology, Darrin's journey in the audio industry is driven by a deep love of music and sound. His motto, ‘Work smarter, not just harder,’ reflects his approach to achieving results while fostering creativity,” the announcement states.
His professional career in the pro audio industry began in 1999 with Stanton Magnetics, where he played a key role in the company’s growth into the Stanton Group—a portfolio that includes iconic brands like Cerwin-Vega, KRK Systems, and Stanton DJ.
Following Stanton’s acquisition by Gibson Guitars, Young was retained to support the Gibson Pro Audio division. Operating out of Nashville, Tennessee, he traveled worldwide, training distributors, leading workshops and demonstrations at tradeshows.
After returning to South Florida in 2014, Young became DAS Audio of America’s Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “His achievements included a 300%+ increase in U.S. sales and broadening the brand’s audience through strategic market positioning. His ability to turn market insights into effective product development initiatives played a significant role in DAS Audio’s growth in the U.S.,” the announcement continues.
Darrin’s experience spans retail, touring/production, and installation/integration. Leadership at dBTechnologies say his passion for the pro audio industry, combined with his global experience uniquely positions him to support dBTech USA’s continued growth.
