L-Acoustics announces that it has been named for the third time to Fast Company’s annual list of World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025, reaching #2 on the list of top innovative companies in the events, concerts, and live experiences industry, recognized specifically “for changing the way Broadway shows sound.”

L-Acoustics continues to build upon its legacy of innovations that began with the invention of the modern line array over thirty years ago with V-DOSC. The company’s pursuit of excellence in sound reinforcement has led to the development of L-ISA immersive technology, which changed spatial sound experiences, notably in the 2024 Tony-winning musical The Outsiders. For this production, sound designer Cody Spencer utilized L-ISA paired with the newly launched L Series speakers throughout the entire show, creating an immersive audio experience for all scenes, including a particularly challenging rumble sequence with its on-stage rain curtain. The sound clarity and compact footprint of L Series enabled precise sonic projection, helping Spencer earn the Tony Award for Best Sound Design for the musical.

Compared to traditional line arrays, L Series offers significant material savings: using 56% less paint, 30% less wood, and 60% less steel in the manufacturing process. This dual commitment to sustainability and performance excellence earned particular recognition from Fast Company judges, who noted the company’s leadership in transforming live experiences while addressing environmental concerns,” the announcement continues.
