The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has forced many organizations to find alternative ways to communicate. This pandemic could have long-lasting effects on the live events industry well beyond the initial scurry to either virtualize, reschedule or cancel events. It will likely dictate and transform the ways in which we work and communicate long term.
In response to these shifts, LMG, a leading provider of AV solutions for corporate meetings, live broadcasts, touring and specialty events, has partnered with Ross Virtual Solutions to create packages to keep people connected.
The companies’ announcement states, “Working with Ross, LMG has built several different options for customers based on either a green screen virtual set or an LED wall, giving customers highly creative and flexible new ways to present to their audiences.”
At the heart of both these systems, Voyager is Ross Video’s graphics rendering solution designed to enable content creators to produce hyper-realistic graphics. “Based on the Unreal 4 engine from Epic Games, Voyager offers a whole new level of detail and realism and can create stunning virtual sets and/or animated augmented reality elements,” according to the release.
LMG also offers systems that incorporate Ross Video’s UX control system in conjunction with Ross Ultrachrome Keying and Motion Camera tracking systems.
“LMG is proud to partner with Ross Video to provide new ways for organizations to reach their
audiences via virtual events,” says Kevin McCabe, LMG Executive Director of Technology. “Together, we’re making it possible for large events to still take place during these unprecedented times and transforming future live events with endless virtual possibilities and reach.”
“Ross & LMG share a passion for implementing technology creatively to deliver supercharged live events,” says Gideon Ferber, Director of Product Management, Ross Virtual Solutions. “I can’t wait to see how LMG will use Voyager to create wide-reaching communication tools for both their event and permanent installation clients while, at the same time, enhancing the storytelling experience.”
LMG and Ross Video combined forces in February 2020 to find solutions for reaching remote audiences. Beyond the Ross Virtual Solutions systems, Ross Video’s in-house creative design and professional services team, Rocket Surgery, provides LMG’s production partners and end users additional turnkey creative services.
