Whether it be live streaming, pseudo/simulated live or video on demand (VOD), church techs have faced the fire of almost instant technological changes in worship over the past few weeks. Some were well prepared for online services and others had to scramble. Some even learned they were more prepared than they realized! With the Easter weekend falling just three weeks into social distancing the pressure was even greater to produce something authentic, inspiring and engaging.
God is using this “disruption” for good.
In this video, we interview five leaders of technical and creative ministries from small, medium and large churches and talk about what they've learned since the coronavirus disruption began. They discuss live streaming, post production, content other than weekly services, Zoom choirs and more. And what they all agree on is that effective online content has surprising potential and that God is using this “disruption” for good.
