Accu-Cable, provider of professional connectivity solutions, is introducing the new AACXLR-L Series, a line of professional link cables that combines balanced XLR audio and Seetronic locking power connections into a single, streamlined cable assembly.
“Designed for cleaner cable runs and faster setup and teardown, the AACXLR-L Series provides a convenient connectivity solution for professional audio and entertainment applications,” the announcement states.
The new AACXLR-L Series Power/Audio Combo Link Cables are designed to simplify connections between compatible powered speakers and pro audio equipment. Combining balanced 3-pin XLR audio and Seetronic locking power connections into a single flexible cable assembly.
Designed for concert production, touring, corporate events, houses of worship, theaters, nightclubs, entertainment venues and professional AV installations, the AACXLR-L Series is an alternative to running separate signal and power cables between compatible components.
Each AACXLR-L cable incorporates a 3-pin XLR male-to-female connection for balanced audio alongside Seetronic locking IP male-to-female power connectors. By integrating these two essential connections into one cable assembly, the series is designed to make it easier to link compatible powered speakers while minimizing the number of individual cables that need to be connected, routed and managed.
“Professional audio systems continue to become more streamlined, and cabling should support that same goal,” says Alfred Gonzales, Accu-Cable Director of Sales. “The AACXLR-L Series gives production professionals and installers a simple way to carry both balanced audio and power between compatible powered speakers using one organized cable. Whether you are setting up a touring system, installing audio in a church or venue, or handling a corporate production, fewer individual cable runs can mean a faster setup and a much cleaner finished system.”
The AACXLR-L Series is available in three lengths to accommodate a variety of system configurations. The AACXLR-L-1 measures 1.5 ft / 0.5 m for closely positioned speakers, compact speaker stacks and adjacent line-array elements. The AACXLR-L-6 measures 6 ft / 2 m for speakers on stands, stage monitors and general-purpose system linking. For applications requiring additional reach, the AACXLR-L-10 measures 10 ft / 3 m for wider speaker spacing, raised platforms, stages and permanent installations.
The balanced audio section features two-conductor 20 AWG twisted-pair wiring with a braided shield, while the power section incorporates heavy-duty three-conductor 12 AWG wiring. Both are integrated within a flexible 12 mm PVC outer jacket, providing a cable that can be routed through portable production systems as well as permanent installations.
“Reducing two separate cable runs to one assembly means less loose cabling around speaker stacks, stands and stages, which is particularly beneficial for corporate events, houses of worship and permanent entertainment installations where a clean presentation is important,” the announcement continues. “From temporary event production and concert touring to installed sound systems, the Accu-Cable AACXLR-L Series provides a straightforward solution for professionals looking to simplify their powered-speaker connections.”
