ADJ announces immediate availability of the Jolt MFX 360, a dual-sided linear LED fixture designed to bring together two distinctive lighting effects in one motion-enabled design.
“By combining the atmospheric warmth of a retro-style blinder with the punch and energy of a modern strobe and wash, the new fixture offers lighting designers a uniquely versatile creative tool capable of transforming any stage, venue, or installation,” the announcement states. “Designed to deliver both subtle ambience and high-impact visual moments, the Jolt MFX 360 merges two iconic looks within a single unit. One side generates a warm scenic glow inspired by classic filament-style blinders, while the opposite side produces an intense strobe and color wash effect designed for dynamic, high-energy moments. Fast motorized tilt allows the fixture to flip rapidly between the two faces, while continuous 360° rotation opens the door to a wide range of kinetic effects and sweeping visual transitions.”
“Lighting designers are always looking for tools that give them more creative flexibility without increasing the complexity of their rig,” says Alfred Gonzales, Sales Director for ADJ USA. “With the Jolt MFX 360 we’ve created something truly different. It’s not just two fixtures combined into one – the continuous 360-degree movement and dual-sided design allow designers to blend classic blinder warmth with aggressive modern strobe energy in ways that simply weren’t possible before.”
The fixture’s retro-inspired side includes the Vintage Bar effect. This features a central strip of four 100-watt amber (1800K) COB LEDs designed to emulate the warm glow of traditional tungsten blinders. Surrounding this core are 140 x 0.8-watt RGBL SMD LEDs integrated into a textured reflector, designed for vibrant color behind the warm blinder output. The result is a rich, atmospheric look designed for dstage décor, scenic lighting, and audience-facing moments.
Rotated, the fixture and the Jolt Bar side delivers a completely different visual impact. A dense strip of 448 x 1-watt cool white (6500K) LEDs provides intense strobe effects capable of cutting through bright stage environments. These are framed by 448 x 0.5-watt RGB color mixing LEDs that add wash capabilities and color accents, making this side of the fixture suited for energetic lighting looks in concerts, festivals, clubs, and live events.
“The real magic of the Jolt MFX 360 lies in the way these two personalities interact. Thanks to fast motorized tilt and continuous 360° rotation, designers can transition between warm atmospheric looks and explosive strobe energy almost instantly. The fixture can spin fluidly to create sweeping waves of light, pulse between effects for dramatic accents, or blend both sides into layered hybrid visuals that move dynamically across a stage or venue,” the announcement continues.
The fixture includes a wide selection of built-in macros and effects that enable visuals with minimal programming. Advanced users can also take advantage of pixel-zone control to map intricate patterns and animations across both sides of the fixture, unlocking a deeper level of creative expression.
Further flexibility comes from a lens slot on the Jolt Bar side that allows optional frost filters to be inserted. This softens and diffuses the output when a smoother wash effect is desired, expanding the fixture’s adaptability across a wide range of applications.
Built for professional touring and installation environments alike, the Jolt MFX 360 incorporates the Aria X2 wireless management system, enabling streamlined remote setup and cable-free DMX control. The fixture also features NFC configuration capabilities, allowing settings to be adjusted quickly using compatible mobile devices.
For control integration, the Jolt MFX 360 supports DMX with RDM, as well as the Art-Net and sACN network-based protocols, ensuring compatibility with modern lighting systems used in touring productions, theatres, concert venues, and architectural installations.
The fixture’s construction is made for the demands of life on the road, while design details enhance ease of use. A practical tilt lock secures the fixture during transport or installation, and magnetic end caps allow multiple fixtures to be aligned neatly when positioned end-to-end, creating linear arrangements across stages, trusses, or scenic structures.
“These design elements combine to create a fixture that is as practical as it is visually powerful. Rental companies benefit from a single unit capable of delivering multiple signature effects, while designers gain a versatile creative tool that can evolve with the mood and energy of a show,” the release continues.
