Allen & Heath's next-generation ME Personal Mixing System is universally compatible with all the company's digital mixers and is open to third-party options as well. The ME-1 personal mixer manages up to 42 sources and receives power over the Cat-5 cable from the companion ME-U network hub. Flexible grouping allows any combination of sources, from just two (“me” and “the band”) to a full 16-channel mix. The sleek module incorporates an ambient mic, knobs for mic and mix levels, and stereo outputs for headphones/earpiece and a mono output for a stage wedge. The ME-U hub's standard interface is compatible with GLD, iLive ACE or A-Net; optional interfaces are available for Dante, MADI or Ethersound.
