Danley Sound Labs announces release of the TH121 subwoofer. The TH121 utilizes Danley’s patented Tapped HornTM technology designed to utilize energy radiated from both the front and rear of the driver to coherently combine these energies for greater efficiency and deeper extension.

Powered by driver technology from FaitalPro, the 21XL3000 is a 21” low frequency driver with a 6.5” (165mm) dual-layer voice coil. With this impressive driver and Danley’s patented technologies, the TH121 subwoofer delivers 3,000W AES continuous power handling and 6,000W program power handling all with a 24Hz – 90 Hz frequency range.

FaitalPro’s program manager of research and development Davide Ballo agrees. In speaking about the driver’s design and partnership with Danley, Ballo says, “My focus with the 21XL3000 was to push the limits of loudspeaker technology, achieving stable behavior at high excursion through a strategic motor geometry and optimized suspensions. Special care was taken to guide airflow directly across the coil. In high-power applications like those used by Danley, this feature makes a measurable difference in keeping power compression under control. We have seen strong results in our tests and I’m looking forward to hearing it in Danley’s new TH121 subwoofer soon.”
