DPM 4
Digital Audio Labs, a leader in professional monitoring solutions, announces the launch of the DPM4, a high-definition 4-channel personal mixer and the 2-channel DPM2.
“Designed to bridge the gap between complex touring rigs and simple setups, the DPM Series brings professional-grade monitoring to smaller venues, houses of worship, and recording studios,” the announcement states. “While the flagship Livemix Pro system offers up to 64 channels of audio, Digital Audio Labs recognized a need for a streamlined, portable solution for environments where a large-scale system is not feasible. The DPM Series meets this demand, delivering a focused, high-fidelity experience in a footprint small enough to fit on a performer’s belt.”
“The DPM4 brings the ability to get ‘more of me”’ to every stage, regardless of size,” says Andy Swanson, marketing director and part of the design team. “It’s about hearing what you need to elevate performances without needing a full system, making personal mixing more accessible.”
Portability and Expandability
The DPM4 receives four channels of digital audio over a Dante network at 96K resolution. The user interface allows performers to independently adjust volume and pan for each channel, with the option to stereo-link channels 1-2 and 3-4. The two channel DPM2 is four channels with a single stereo pair option.
With a street price of $399 for the DPM4 and $349 for the DPM2, personal monitoring is accessible for small churches, bands, studios, and venues. A system can be a single unit or 100, with no additional “distribution” rack units needed.
Key features of the DPM4 include:
- High-Resolution Audio: 4 channels of 96K Dante audio via a Ethercon connector.
- Simplified Control: A unique interface provides instant access to channel levels, panning, and master volume.
- Integrated DSP: 9 selectable DSP programs allow users to tailor their mix to their specific hearing needs and environment.
- Built for Portability: An ultra-small footprint and integrated belt clip for mobile performers.
- Versatile Connectivity: Includes both 1/8” and 1/4” stereo headphone outputs to accommodate all types of in-ear monitors and headphones.
- Power over Ethernet: No additional power supplies are necessary. The DPM4 is powered over the single ethernet cable that also carries Dante Network audio.
“The DPM series represents the next step in the making personal monitoring accessible, providing performers with the tools they need to hear themselves clearly and perform at their best,’ the announcement concludes.
The DPM4 4-channel Dante Personal Mixer 2-channel sibling the DPM2 are now available through dealers and retailers.
