Harman Professional Solutions, a global leader in audio, video, control, and lighting systems, announces launch of the Martin Mac One Beam, an ultra-compact beam moving head designed for tight, high-intensity beams and eye-candy effects in a compact, lightweight form.
It features an automotive-grade LILI (Laser Illuminated Lighting Instrument) engine, designed to provide precision and reliability. “This compact light source produces an exceptionally sharp beam with an intensity of approximately 7 million candela—more than enough for bold aerial effects in live performance, broadcast, and event environments,” the announcement states. “Mac One Beam’s optimized output addresses growing industry concerns around eye safety, offering a responsible balance of performance and protection.”
Mac One Beam’s focus is three key areas. First, a sharp beam and fast CMY color mixing are designed for high-contrast effects with quick responsiveness. Second, a compact footprint and sub-5 kg weight allow dense fixture deployment and can produce bold looks while reducing transport costs and rigging complexity. Third, a three-dimensional backlight effect—featuring individually controllable light guides behind a 120 mm lens—to add visual depth and stage presence, even when the beam is idle.
Designed for versatility, Mac One Beam integrates seamlessly with its sibling, the Mac One wash fixture, using a unified ecosystem of rigging accessories, including the Mac One Fourbar and VDO Grid Mount System. This compatibility allows designers to mix fixture types freely—combining beam and wash functionality within the same rig, layout, or flightcase—without loss of efficiency or cohesion.
“When we set out to design the Mac One Beam, our goal was simple: give lighting designers a compact and versatile fixture that sparks creativity without adding complexity,” says Wouter Verlinden, Product Manager for Creative LED, Lighting & Control, Harman Professional Solutions. “It was also built for stunning eye-candy effects. We can’t wait to see what fresh designs it will inspire for stages, studios, and live events.”
