The Obsidian Control Systems team will be showcasing the new Onyx NX3 lighting console at the upcoming ISE tradeshow February 3-6 in Barcelona, Spain. Lighting control specialists are invited to booth #6Q300 for a look at this new addition to the Onyx platform—and the new Netron FS16, a new rackmount network switch in Obsidian’s award-winning line of data distribution products, and HelioTraq, a new simplified performer tracking solution.
NX3
NX3 is an advanced full-size lighting console built on the Onyx platform. “Crafted to boost speed and creativity, it delivers lighting control that feels naturally fluid, whether at a live event or an installation,” according to the announcement. With 64 Universes, 10 motorized faders, RGB backlighting, and a slate of other professional features, the NX3 also has advanced hardware and refined layout for handling of complex lighting setups.

Netron FS16
Obsidian expands its award-winning Netron line of data distribution products with the FS16, a 1U rackmount network switch with 12 Gigabit ports, 1x 10Gb and 3x 1.25Gb Fiber ports, and PoE+ support, designed for high-speed data and power distribution for Netron nodes or any PoE+ devices. Optimized for live productions and high-data-volume lighting systems, it offers instant network selection via front-panel buttons, external remote, or web interface.
Netron’s full line of signal distribution products for system integrators and fixed installations, along with the IP66-rated products for entertainment, will also be on display.
HelioTraq
Also making its debut will be a new simplified performer tracking solution, HelioTraq. Designed for quick setup, HelioTraq brings streamlined, LiDAR-powered tracking to small and mid-sized performance spaces. “By continuously mapping the 3D stage environment, it enables fast, browser-based setup and precise calibration for dependable, dynamic performer tracking. Supporting up to eight Elation fixtures and two performers, HelioTraq operates either stand-alone or through its intuitive interface. With minimal hardware and reduced complexity, it’s an ideal entry-level solution for venues seeking reliable, simplified tracking with less training needed,” according to the release.

NX W
Obsidian’s new Onyx NX W is a portable, and full-featured PC control wing designed to bring the power of Onyx to any system via USB-C. “Its responsive hardware surface gives lighting operators everything they need in a compact, intuitive form. From RGB-backlit motorized faders to customizable multi-function buttons, every detail is engineered for speed, precision, and creative freedom,” the announcement states.
