Shure announces the expansion of its Nexadyne product line with the introduction of three all-new dynamic instrument microphones: the Nexadyne 2 Kick Drum Microphone, Nexadyne 5 Guitar Amp Microphone, and Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone.
Each Nexadyne microphone features Shure’s patented Revonic Dual-Engine Transducer Technology. “While typical instrument microphones use a single transducer, Nexadyne microphones feature two precisely calibrated transducers working together to achieve optimal performance that delivers natural, authentic clarity while minimizing unwanted noise,” according the announcement. “Nexadyne’s combination of acoustic signal processing and exceptional polar pattern linearity, enables the microphone line to deliver a stronger and clearer output. This output is more authentic to the performer and reduces audio engineers’ need to apply typical EQ corrections.”

Nexadyne 2 Dynamic Kick Drum Microphone
The Nexadyne 2 delivers true, low-end clarity and fullness, with contoured EQ, protection from stage rumble, and improved high-frequency extension and attack definition. The microphone is designed with its swivel joint separated from the XLR output source for secure placement without strain on output cables.
Nexadyne 5 Dynamic Guitar Amp Microphone
The Nexadyne 5 is designed to ensure the full range of guitar tone is captured. The small dynamic cartridge design enables a side-address form factor for improved placement. It can be positioned by hanging off any amp or used with a standard mic clip and stand.
Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone
The Nexadyne 6 is designed for drum hits to cut through naturally and authentically, with a clear high-frequency response, extremely flat mid-range, and full low-end. The form factor features a unique fixed angle design and a new, smaller drum mount to reduce potential placement drift from sympathetic vibration.
Pricing and Availability
Nexadyne Instrument Microphones will be available for purchase this February on Shure.com and will be on display at the Shure Booth (#15608) at NAMM 2025 in Anaheim (January 23 – 25). The Nexadyne 2 and Nexadyne 6 will be available for $249 USD each. The Nexadyne 5 will be available for $219 USD.
Each microphone includes a zippered bag and brass adapter. The Nexadyne 5 includes the A25E mic clip and the Nexadyne 6 includes the A6D Drum Mount.
The Nexadyne 6 Tom/Snare Microphone is available in a 3-pack for $649 USD.
