Vista by Chroma-Q, a brand of premium performance LED lighting solutions manufactured in North America, announces Vista 3 Release 5 (R5), the latest update to its professional lighting and media control software. Building on Vista 3’s workflow, Release 5 introduces hundreds of enhancements and new features designed to expand creative control, improve integration, and streamline production workflows across live entertainment and installed environments.
Features in Release 5:
Advanced Show Control Integration: Open Sound Control (OSC) support enables full remote control of Vista’s physical console. This allows users to develop custom control applications and unlock integration opportunities across a range of industry sectors.
Streamlined Production Workflows: Vista now supports CSV file import for cue structure, notes, and timecode data from third-party tools such as CuePoints and Reaper. The enhanced “Learn Timing” feature allows programmers to capture timing directly from external playbacks or cuelists, making it possible to record timecoded the same as operating live.
Dynamic Timing Control:
The new “Time Masters” component introduces effect-master style control for timing parameters throughout the application. Users can create customizable, hands-on controls and assign them to both physical hardware and on-screen elements for precise timing adjustments.
Action Grids: The flagship addition in Release 5, “Action Grids” provide a visual, customizable workspace for programming and playback. With drag-and-drop organization and intelligent auto-population, “Action Grids” allow real-time modification of stage looks without the need to pre-program multiple variations— designed for flexibility during live performance without scripted macros or third-party plugins.
