dLive is Allen & Heath’s flagship digital mixing platform, designed for demanding touring, corporate AV, houses of worship, broadcast, and install applications. All dLive MixRacks feature the same mix engine – 128 input channels and 64 mix outputs with a configurable 64-bus architecture, class-leading 0.7ms latency and phase-aligned signal paths for maximum flexibility in all applications – but differ in the number of onboard analogue I/O, redundancy options and digital I/O card slots. A dLive Surface is the most popular way to control a dLive MixRack. With seven models available, from the airline-friendly CTi1500 to the 36-fader S7000,there’s a Surface for every application.
The acclaimed dLive preamp design, optimized for transparency and clarity, combined with a unique Active PAD circuit for consistent performance regardless of source, delivers the highest quality analogue signal to the MixRack’s XCVI processing core. In the digital domain, the 96kHzsignal path employs variable bit depth throughout for optimal noise performance and precision with virtually infinite dynamic range thanks to the 96-bit accumulator.

With a fully customizable layout that allows you to build an interface that reflects your workflow and mixing style, dLive lets you focus on the mix, not the mixer. Every input or mix can be assigned to any and every fader bank and/or layer, virtual scribble strips allow inputs and mixes to be clearly named and color coded for at-a-glance navigation, and a wealth of assignable SoftKeys and 3 pages of 6 assignable rotaries per screen. Bespoke ‘widget’ area scan also be set up on the touchscreens to keep track of scenes, meters, RTA, FX and other custom controls.
Multi-Surface mode allows the connection of up to 4 Surfaces to a single DM MixRack, or 2Surfaces to a single CDM MixRack, for applications including parallel mixing, sub-mixing or FOH/Monitor configurations with a single MixRack. Any combination of C Class and S Class Surfaces can be used in a Multi-Surface system depending on the needs of the application.
The release of Allen & Heath’s dLive V2.0 firmware has transformed workflow and audio FX capability with the new RackUltra FX card. The RackUltra FX suite, powered by the new RackUltra FX card, brings together a collection of 10 new algorithms, encompassing pitch correction and shifting, intelligent vocal harmonizers, studio-grade reverbs and saturation.
