ADJ's new Vizi Hybrid 16RX moving head is the most powerful in ADJ's Vizi Series, packing a high-power Philips 330W MSD Platinum 16R discharge lamp, motorized zoom and two separate GOBO wheels into one flexible moving head.
Because of the technology behind the Vizi Hybrid 16RX's Philips Platinum 16R MSD discharge lamp, users can capture an audience's attention with a series of powerful, vivid displays, including beam, spot and wash effects. With an output comparable to that of a 575W fixture, the Platinum 16R offers a flat, even spot field and even more saturation of colors.
The fixture has a selection of 14 colors, plus white, allowing a wide range of effects to be created in a series of atmosphere-enhancing colors. Whether users want to create ambient washes in more-subtle hues of purple, mauve, blue and pale green or produce overhead eye-candy beams in vibrant colors like orange, hot pink, turquoise and bright green, the flexibility of the 16RX is just one of its many appealing factors. Of course, the ‘white' setting can also be used for when users want to achieve something simple but effective, showing off the pure power of the fixture's Philips lamp.
The Vizi Hybrid 16RX is fitted with two independent GOBO wheels. One with 16 static GOBOs (+ spot and frost) and the other features 12 interchangeable rotating glass GOBOs (+ spot), with patterns including swirls, dots and others, as well as open/spot GOBOs and frost filters. Because GOBO Scroll and GOBO Shake and GOBO Morphing features are offered for both wheels, these effects can be enhanced even more, creating unique displays.
The 16RX is also fitted with 6- and 8-facet prisms, both of which are individually rotatable to allow for multi-directional prism effects. These prisms can be morphed together.

The Vizi Hybrid 16RX's combination spot, beam and wash effects all roll into one highly versatile moving head. This flexibility is enabled primarily by the fixture's motorized focus and zoom: the concise beam, complemented by fog and haze for that extra-defined look, while the angle can also be widened out (from three to 32 degrees) for stage performances, table spotting, architectural highlights and other professional uses. ADJ has also equipped the product with a frost function, so it's easy turn the hard-edged beam into a more subtle wash effect for flooding stages and seating areas with color.

In terms of operation, the 16RX can be controlled using the 19-channel DMX mode, which provides unrestricted control over its range of features. Also, with XLR in/out connections built in, multiple Hybrid 16RX fixtures can be DMX-linked, for far-reaching cross-venue displays.
While the Vizi Hybrid 16RX's stepper motors (with micro stepping) allow its beams and effects to be positioned accurately, they also allow the energy of the user's lightshow to be super-charged with rapid, dynamic 360-degree pan and 270-degree tilt movement. ADJ has ensured that users can also adjust the speed of the head's movement and use the Pan/Tilt Invert setting to reverse the pan/tilt movement across multiple fixtures, for a symmetrical and visually pleasing display. If the standard 360-degree pan isn't enough, there is the option to increase this scope to 540 degrees.
The Vizi Hybrid 16RX is also compact and lightweight for its class. Along with the stepper motors, the unit's low weight (51 lbs. / 23 kg. ) and portable size (12.75 x 14.5 x 22.5”/325x370x571mm) mean that it moves faster than previous ADJ moving heads, enabling users to produce attention-grabbing displays of rapid beams. The 16RX is designed for incorporation into a mobile tour or stage setup, being easy to store, transport, carry and position.
Connecting multiple 16RX units is simplified with its 3-pin and 5-pin DMX connections. The fixture comes complete with Omega quick-lock brackets, aiding setup when mounting the light during installation or build.
