Brent Mestach is the graphics and broadcast director for Christ Wesleyan Church in Milton Pennsylvania. As part of a Church Production Road Test User Experience, Mestach and his team agreed to incorporate PTZOptics’ MOVE 4K PTZ Cameras into their set up and see how they worked. He says the auto-tracking on stage, really impressed.
“So, it's really cool... You can export settings on one camera and then import that into any of the other cameras in that PTZOptics line." - Brent Mestach, Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton, PA
“For churches that don't have the volunteer base to have a camera operator that follows the pastor, this takes the user error away and has a great response time,” Mestach says. “If the pastor's moving forward, moving backwards, it zooms in and out with them, but also the color quality adapts well to the color balance and the white balance.”
Mestach says while the auto features did a great job adapting to their environment, incorporating the cameras into their existing video system was made simple because of the camera’s flexibility and interoperability.
“This camera allows you to do SDI or HDMI output depending on what your system is,” Mestach explains. “So, it's really cool, the functionality and the ability of the PTZOptics camera line, how they can all connect to one another. You can export settings on one camera and then import that into any of the other cameras in that PTZOptics line. If you buy six of these cameras, you don't have to adjust each one. If you like one camera, you can adjust those settings, export it, and then import it right into all other five or six, which is very, very handy.”
