Staying Power

If people leave five minutes after the service is over, does that mean that a church should focus on improving its guest experience? Yes, because a great deal of connection and spiritual growth can happen before and after the worship service, and even during the week, if space is well designed to allow people—regulars, newcomers, everybody—to hang out and linger.

Our feature story this edition is “Architecture Informs the Guest Experience,” by writer Carolyn Heinze. It’s a report that sheds light on the elements of design that can truly help to foster guest-retention. Read it and see if you can help your church clients get more people safely through their doors, and more of them staying on the grounds once they arrive.

Blessings,
