On Apr. 25, 2018, d&b audiotechnik offered sound designers and integrators a demo of its Soundscape system at Atlanta-area Browns Bridge Church,a site of local North Point Ministries. Soundscape is designed to change the approach to live sound mixing and system design, providing a more engaging and natural listening experience.
Soundscape features three component parts: a signal processing engine and two optional software modules. The processing engine hardware is a familiar format of signal processing and matrix, the company reports, one that any sound designer knows and uses daily.
"[The main emphasis of the] Soundscape system is to inspire congregations into more intimate worship by aligning that which is heard with where it is seen...." Asher Dowson, House of Worship Segment Manager, d&b audiotechnik
According to d&b audiotechnik’s Asher Dowson, house of worship segment manager, ”The main emphasis of moving to a Soundscape system is to inspire congregations into more intimate worship by aligning that which is heard with where it is seen, thus removing the distractions which are inherent in stereo systems, increasing attentiveness, impact and engagement across the congregation."
