NanaWall of Corte Madera, Calif., provider of movable wall solutions, announces that several notable institutional designs incorporate its folding glass wall systems. The designs include uses of the company’s FlexSpace which offers the ability to create optimized floor plans and increase flexibility within classrooms, auditoriums, libraries and student centers.

In addition, the product’s flexibility reportedly allows teachers to gain access to shared resources and adapt spaces for varying sized groups and project-based learning activities. Movable wall solutions in California
All new residential construction in California will need to meet zero net energy requirements per Title 24 by the year 2020. The thought of adhering to new requirements can be a bit daunting, according to NanaWall representatives. NanaWall shares the following example of how design-builder Eric Woodhouse approached this quandary in a project completed in 2016.

Woodhouse built a house that has four bedrooms, three and a half baths, that includes a standing-seam "cool" roof, Nest thermostat, 100% dimmable LED lighting, cellulose-insulated walls, a greywater system, solar panels for generating all the home's energy, and a thermally broken triple-glazed NanaWall SL60 opening glass wall. The design of the home exceeds California energy efficiency standards (Title 24) by 52.5%.
