This year’s Capture Summit takes place July 25-27 at The John Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church in Atlanta. This three-day conference unites top church techs and creatives with a single mission: Refine their craft as Christ’s storytellers. One of our Capture sponsors is Ross Video, a company that designs and manufactures a wide range of equipment for live event and video production. We talked with Ross Video Worship Productions Business Development Manager Jeremy Bagwell about the company’s involvement at Capture.
Capture: What does Ross Video do?
Bagwell: Ross Video is all about the live event. We like to say we are “Living Live.” We make products and solutions that help you execute the best live event. That could be a worship service, choir performance, sermon message, or music video. Our solutions are focused on helping you have the tools to be successful. Whether you are a paid operator or a volunteer, it’s designed with you in mind.
Capture: What makes Ross Video a good fit for churches?
Bagwell: We are all about the live event. We have dedicated ourselves to building the industry's best equipment for live. We know that churches produce and execute live events every week and sometimes multiple times per week. We know that most churches are powered by volunteers who give their time to learn the equipment needed for the services. Ross believes in making products that are easy to use and volunteer-friendly. Our staff has spent countless hours working directly with church worship leaders and tech directors to ensure that our solutions effectively meet churches' needs.
Capture: What will Capture attendees find when they visit the Ross Video booth?
Bagwell: At Ross, we believe in having a relationship with all of our current and future customers. When asked about what Ross Video can provide… our approach is to understand each church has some unique challenges, and we want to dive in with you to find the right solution. Not only will we show you our products and how they work, but the conversations and relationships we form will help Ross Video continue to make solutions that work for churches around the globe.
Capture: What are some of the most interesting Ross Video church projects?
Bagwell: Recently, we just finished up a video redesign for 12Stone Church at their broadcast location. That was a fun project because we needed to find a solution for increased video router inputs and outputs, as well the church needed more flexibility when it comes to embedding and de-emedded. We landed on an Ultrix FR5 with our new Ultrix Acuity and added Tria+ and XPression to give them a better workflow for recording and online graphics. All of 12Stone’s campus locations have Ross Carbonite switchers and now their broadcast location is part of the Ross system. They can now control all of their location switchers from DashBoard no matter what location they are at.
Capture: What can Capture attendees learn from visiting Ross Video at Capture?
Bagwell: No matter the size of your church, Ross has video solutions that are right for you. Most churches will always balance the idea of budget and cost, and we get that. We hope that you will learn what makes Ross different. Things like, having editable custom controls (Macros) straight from the switcher GUI, or having 24/7/365 staff tech support who will answer when you call at 5 am, to our new TouchDrive switcher panel that is built with volunteers in mind. Lastly – all of our solutions are made with scalability in mind. As your church or production needs grow so can the Ross system. We believe in making solutions that can easily scale to your needs without having to replace the expensive hardware you already purchased.
