This year’s Capture Summit is coming up July 25-27 at The John Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church in Atlanta. It’s the church filmmaking and video production educational conference, by Church Production Live Events, entirely devoted to the training and excellence of visual content creators in the house of worship space. One of the Capture Summit sponsors is Firefly LED, one of the newer providers of LED video technology. We talked with Firefly LED Founder and CEO, Will Dickey about the company’s involvement at Capture.
Capture: What does Firefly LED do?
Dickey: The Firefly LED team was formed to revolutionize the LED industry, and how LED providers manage their business. Our team works to provide the highest quality LED video products available, at the most affordable prices.
Capture: What makes Firefly LED a good fit for churches?
Dickey: Our team has worked in the AV industry for decades, some of us, myself included have been installing audio visual products in houses of worship for many years. That obviously gives us a unique sense of what churches are looking to accomplish. Our D Series was designed with the house of worship market in mind. It is a larger more economical panel designed for permanent installations, allowing more people the ability to take advantage of this technology and all of its features and benefits. We did a blog recently on LED in churches: https://fireflyled.com/2021/09/how-firefly-led-can-enhance-your-house-of-worship/
Capture: What will Capture attendees find when they visit the Firefly LED booth?
Dickey: We are planning on bringing our curved M Series 2.6mm XR Display (11’ x 7’), which not only looks great in person, but designed so that it looks great on camera as well.
Capture: What are some of the most interesting Firefly LED church projects?
Dickey: As a newer company our portfolio is somewhat limited, we have only been fully operational for about a year, but we have certainly done a number of HOW installations. Freedom Church in Gallatin, Tennessee was unique because it was not only about the in-house congregation, but they were looking to enhance their online experience as well, so they kept the side projections screens and installed a large center LED display that would be behind the pastor creating a more immersive experience both in person and online.
Capture: What can Capture attendees learn from visiting Firefly LED at Capture?
Dickey: We just want an opportunity to introduce ourselves, and seeing how we can assist potential house of worship clients through this process. We are not into high pressure sales, but just want to help educate and guide them through the process of selecting the right product for what they are looking to accomplish.
