Elation is introducing the KL Spot IP. The fixture features an IP65 rating which allows for both indoor and outdoor spaces. “A radiant and rugged static luminaire that can also function as an LED Profile by adding the optional motorized framing module, creating a lighting fixture that's both handily adaptable and primed to set your creative spirit on fire,” according to the announcement.
Elation's stated goal with the fixture is to simplify automated static lighting, a venture that began with its companion, the KL Profile FC. With an integrated zoom lens spanning from 7° to 50°, the KL Spot IP is designed to go anywhere and still capture the user's perfect beam size with no extra lens tubes required. The fixture is designed to reduce costs, streamline setups, and provide flexibility for any performance venue and show.

Tap into the full spectrum RGBMA LED engine. Feel the backdrop lacks depth? Simply select one of the 13 included gobos to add captivating texture to your shot – all with effortless ease. Plus, every aspect of this fixture is motorized, eliminating the need to open it up for adjustments.”
This fixture features a 305W 5-color homogenized LED array of Red, Green, Blue, Mint, and Amber sources. This calibrated RGBMA engine, with a 92 CRI and native color temperature of 6500 Kelvin, can create diffused saturates, soft-field pastels, and tunable white light. The tuned LEDs are designed for high-quality color reproduction while delivering output exceeding 10,600 lumens.
Color mastery with the KL Spot IP translates designs to the camera allowing users to rectify shifts away from pure white toward green or magenta through a green/magenta shift adjustment and a virtual gel library. From 2400K to 8500K, plus CMY and RGB emulation, users can access to a palette of LED colors, including mixed whites, achieve white balance for camera without the need for green gels or filters, and find flicker-free operation when working with high-speed cameras due to DMX-adjustable LED refresh rates.
The fixture’s included 6 rotating/indexing glass gobos and 7 fixed glass gobos refine visual concepts with intricate designs, shapes, or textures and access the animation wheel for more organic forms or realistic effect looks. The variable frost casts a softer light and dual prisms and high-speed electronic shutter and strobe unlock creative potential. The optional motorized framing/iris module offers a solution for intricate shutter cuts and beam control.
The KL Spot IP operates at a whisper-quiet level and features Elation's Mute Mode, silencing the internal cooling fan when needed.
