Barco is expanding its portfolio with two new G-series projectors designed to improve creativity in simple day-to-day needs as well as more advanced installations. The G62s are a new choice for consistency, creating a broader Barco portfolio for the ProAV market with solutions for a wider range of budgets.
With the introduction of the G60s in 2019, Barco enlarged its offering to a wider range of market segments. The single-chip laser projectors were designed to answer the needs of day-to-day projects without compromising on the quality. The new G62s were created to complement this existing platform with two brighter and improved projectors for even better results.
With higher bandwidth and upgraded input support (HDMI2.0 and 3D SYNC), the new projectors are now compatible for 4K input sources and provide HD 3D stereo capabilities. The G62s bring enhanced and OSD embedded warping and blending capabilities, suited to be used in combination with other projectors in a multi-channel set-up. In addition, there’s an improved interface for more user-friendly operation and efficient workflows. Promising competitive pricing, the G60 and G62 are designed for all customers.
The G60 and G62 projectors are designed for compact installations. Next to the compact format of the G-projectors, there’s also the possibility of working with the familiar G-series short-throw lenses. To blend in with different environments, the G2 models will also be available in both black and a fully white chassis.
Barco offers a service program and global support. With the additional EssentialCare service options, customers can access an existing pool of G-series swap units with comparable brightness and lifetime to reduce response and replacement time.
Since its launch in 2019, the G60 projectors’ price-performance ratio resulted in its deployment in museums like Infinity des Lumières in Dubai and the new Memory Lane Museum Complex in Russia. Part of Barco’s single-chip projection family, the G62s are designed to have the same performance and Barco expert guidance.
