
Telycam announces release of the first official firmware for the Explore SE. Introduced in January 2024, Explore SE, Telycam’s first-generation flagship PTZ camera, features a 1/1.8” inch CMOS sensor with 9MP resolution and a 30x optical zoom with a wide 60° horizontal field of view. Other features include 12G-SDI, Genlock, native Free-D, and auto-tracking support, for a broad spectrum of broadcast applications.
“For those currently using a beta version, we highly recommend upgrading to this latest release to take full advantage of the improvements,” the announcement states. "For assistance or more information, please email support@telycam.com."
This is the first official firmware version for the Explore SE and solves these beta version issues:
- FreeD data transmission stabilized
- Menu display issue solved
- Reset and reboot malfunction solved
- Auto-tracking function is updated as the same with other models
- Auto focus optimized
Users can upgrade the firmware via the web UI. Before proceeding with the upgrade, users are asked to read the entire Firmware Upgrade Guide thoroughly to confirm that their Explore SE meets all the conditions outlined in the Firmware Upgrade Guide before proceeding with the update.
