Polar Crisp weighs 33.5 lbs. with a hanging bracket that doubles as a carrying handle for easy mobility.
Magmatic atmospheric effects now has two snow machines available in its Polar series of high-volume snow effects that create wintry scenes for seasonal productions. They now offer a compact and lightweight Crisp and the road case-protected Crisp Max with 20-liter fluid tank both designed to let it snow!
The Crisp is designed as a set-it-and-forget-it snow effect with easy mobility. The unit weighs 33.5 lbs. (15.2kg) with a hanging bracket that doubles as a carrying handle. Crisp uses Magmatic’s specially formulated dry-on-impact snow liquid (APS-4L) to create a snowflake that “mimics the look and feel of actual snow,” according to the announcement.

Polar Crisp Max has a 20-liter fluid tank hidden inside a road case.
Crisp Max includes a 20-liter fluid tank hidden inside a road case with durable casters for extra protection and easier portability. The unit’s 10-meter-long hose can be rigged on a standard truss or tripod stand and fluid can be extended up to 50 meters horizontally or vertically using 10-meter extension tubes with couplers that are available as an accessory. An optional 120-degree pan motor is available that is designed to increase the coverage area. Crisp Max also uses Magmatic’s specially formulated dry-on-impact snow liquid (APS-2L, 4L, 20L).
Both the Crisp and Crisp Max are designed to produce high volumes of naturalistic snow with the capacity to adjust snowflake size for greater versatility. Small flake or large, short throw or long, these 1250W high-volume snow machines are designed to project snow up to 12 meters (40 feet) with the flexibility to adjust to the occasion.
All Polar series snow machines feature a noise-blocking layer of insulation designed to reduce fan noise for quieter operation for noise-sensitive theatre and studio environments. An all-in-one APF (Air Pump Fan) system together with an auto-clean feature is designed to lower the risk of clogging and reduce the need for maintenance. An easy-to-open housing and serviceable design add to their user-friendliness.
The Crisp and Crisp Max include an onboard LCD touchscreen control panel with manual and timer control options. They are industry-standard DMX-512 and RDM controllable, and offer wired and wireless remote-control options. Magmatic specialty effects are designed, engineered and exclusively distributed by Elation Professional.
