Nanlite dedicated lots of time and resources into developing a new type of LED panel. They wanted to provide most of the benefits of a flexible mat system (lightweight, easy to transport, fit into tight spaces, etc.), while being more durable, substantially brighter, and lightning quick to set-up and break-down. The result is the new PavoSlim line, and the initial feedback from users has been overwhelmingly positive.
The family consists of the 1x1 PavoSlim 60B and 60C, and the 2x1 120B and 120C. The B models are bi-color, the C models are RGBWW with more professional features like built-in LumenRadio CRMX, 151 filter presets, and more. Every PavoSlim model includes a easy-to-assemble softbox and grid. The C models have patented quick-open softboxes that stay attached to the panel and are ready to use in seconds.
The entire system is built around the idea of quickness, without giving up anything. The output is highly accurate, and completely flicker free, even at incredibly high frame rates. The included cases are protective, yet space-efficient and easy to pack, carry, and store.
All PavoSlim LED panels have locking DMX ports and run on a regular AC outlet, or V-Mount batteries via integrated plates on the Control Unit. The two PavoSlim 60 models also have two battery plates for NP-F batteries. They are made of metal, and less than an inch thick. Coupling accessories will be available soon for attaching multiple PavoSlim models together to create a larger light source. This is a new approach to LED panel lighting, and professionals in HOW production are extremely pleased with them.
