Versatile 4k60fps PTZ video camera designed for broadcasts and Professional AV applications with excellent low-light performance and AI auto focus
Telycam unveiled the latest addition to its Explore series at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024—EXPLORE, a superior version of Explore SE introduced last September. It boasts a premium 1-inch Sony 4K sensor with 9 million pixels, leveraging back-lit stacked CMOS structure technology for a 20x optical zoom range. With a moderate to shallow depth of field, Explore enhances the bokeh effect, imparting a cinematic touch and elegance to the visuals. Another noteworthy upgrade is its advanced AI Auto Focus capability, ensuring precise focus, stability, and consistent image quality across diverse shooting scenarios, such as live broadcasting.
“The Explore is powered by a premium Full NDI FPGA and the flexibility of NDI|HX. It's like having a camera that can switch gears based on the demands of your production or your bandwidth.” says Jenny Liu, Head of Sales and Marketing from Telycam.
Beyond NDI, Explore boasts two simultaneous SDI (BNC) outputs—12GSDI + 3GSDI cropping with genlock sync. The camera also supports SFP+ transmission for video up to 10 kilometers, and offers HDMI 2.0 and USB options tailored for specific applications. Furthermore, Explore excels in virtual reality production with its integration of FreeD protocol. The synergy of FreeD and Genlock ensures precise synchronization, seamlessly merging real and virtual elements to craft a cohesive virtual environment.
With micro SD card slot, Explore supports local recording and firmware upgrades, providing a solution for network issues and enabling quick local copies. The meticulously designed WEBUI recording function allows accurate recording down to every minute and second. On the audio front, in addition to the 3.5mm line-in audio port, Explore now features an extra XLR audio interface with phantom power. This can be easily controlled via the 'phantom power enable' button on WebGUI, seamlessly integrating both audio and video capabilities into a single device.
At NAB 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the Explore will be showcased at the Telycam booth SU6029 (Upper South Hall) from April 14-17.
