Arri launches the FSND external filter, available in 6.6-inch by 6.6-inch and 4-inch by 5.65-inch sizes.
The filters feature Schott B270i glass, which is polished completely on both sides with completely parallel surfaces. FSND filters reduce the amount of light entering the lens, allowing the filmmaker to shoot at wider t-stops under bright conditions without overexposure. FSND filters also make it possible to blur moving elements such as water or traffic in bright conditions.
