Advanced Systems Group (ASG), a leading data, video, audio and film integration firm, introduces the Workplace Live Studio Kit, a production system developed through a partnership with Workplace by Facebook, designed to provide a more affordable multi-camera option for live video on the platform. Workplace is Facebook's collaboration platform. The new Workplace Live Studio Kit is being introduced at F8 2017 Facebook Developer Conference, which runs April 18-19 in San Jose, Calif.
Rather than produce vertical video from a phone or tablet, the Workplace Live Studio Kit allows companies, social media personalities, schools, and houses of worship to stream multi-camera, 16:9 HD productions. Designed by ASG, the kit includes a basic production switcher, three cameras, lighting, and all power and connection cables. Extensive documentation and 30 days of remote support are included, allowing non-technical individuals to more easily setup and use the system.
“We designed the Workplace Live Studio Kit for non-video professionals who want to produce high-quality, multi-camera content for live video,” explains Dave Van Hoy, president of ASG. “We are very excited to partner with Workplace to offer these kits and help Workplace users create rich and engaging content on the platform.”
The three-camera system is based on core Blackmagic Design equipment, but offers several customization options as well as additional remote and on-site support packages. Available exclusively through ASG, the Workplace Live Studio Kit will be available May 1, with pricing starting at $25,000.
