Digital Audio Labs is releasing the brand new Livemix LM-MicPre. Since its launch over five years ago, Livemix has featured built-in intercoms. Each personal mixer has built in microphones that allow teams and bands to communicate with each other. The new Livemix LM-MicPre accessory is an external mic preamp that allows a standard dynamic microphone to be used with the intercom. Powered by the CS-Duo or CS-Solo’s onboard USB port, the LM-MicPre features a low noise signal path to give musical directors and engineers clear intercom/talkback communication. Users can save channel space on mixers by using multiple LM-MicPre units.
To complement this launch, Digital Audio Labs has also released a free firmware update that expands the functionality of Livemix. Rolled into this update are improved mix saving, the ability to add accessory channels to groups and an expansion of the popular MirrorMix function.
Using MirrorMix, a Livemix user can audition and remotely mix another user. A new Global MirrorMix expands on this by adding the ability to instantly send a mix to all personal mixers. This is designed for pushing out a baseline starter mix to everyone at once.
The new Livemix LM-MicPre preamp will sell for $249. Both the LM-MicPre and the firmware update are available now. The new firmware is available for free at http://www.digitalaudio.com/support.
