Panasonic has released its new AV-HLC100 Live Production Center at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company says this 1 ME switcher, remote camera controller, and audio mixer enables easy live streaming and production with one-person operation.
The HCL100 works directly with Panasonic PTZ and other system cameras, enabling control and transmission via IP video transport or SDI. Pan, tilt, zoom, and focus operations can be executed with one hand using the large joystick. Output formats include 1080/59.94p and 50p through 3G-SDI inputs and outputs, RTSP input (direct input of IP video), and an HDMI out for user interface. The control surface also allows mixing of embedded, line-input, and mic-input audio sources.
The hardware panel for camera control and switching works with a newly designed software user interface that will enable Multiview monitoring, graphics overlay insertions, media players, audio mixers, and more.
Panasonic says the HCL100 was designed for applications where a limited number of operators are available, such as university sports, webcasting, live streaming and event production, houses of worship, and other small to mid-size environments.
The AV-HCL100 Live Production Center will be available for distribution in the United States in the Fall of 2017.
