StreamGuys, a content delivery network and streaming media provider, has released it's new SaaS feature at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. As part of its cloud-based SGrecast live stream repurposing platform, the newly released additions will enable broadcasters and video professionals to easily and automatically transform their live video streams into podcasts and side channels.
Built as a solution for content creators from TV broadcasters, sports leagues, news organizations, online personalities, and houses of worship, the comprehensive software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform allows high-quality transcoding, automatically converting audio and video streams to the formats and bit rates appropriate for live syndication. A full suite of scheduling tools enable unattended operation with integrated publishing to RSS feeds, automated delivery and compatibility with popular syndicated service delivery.
Other features in this updated platform include social media integration, enabling instant formatting and sharing of audio content on social networks including Facebook, Twitter, and others. The company says the automatic formatting and scheduling frees up valuable resources and staff from repetitive, manual processes. These on-demand and rebroadcasting tools will be incorporated into the video application in the near future.
