Capture Summit 2022 is July 25-27 at The John Maxwell Leadership Center at 12Stone Church in Atlanta. As the church filmmaking and video production educational conference by Church Production Live Events, it is entirely devoted to the training and excellence of visual content creators in the house of worship space. One of Capture’s long-time sponsors is JVC. JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKenwood USA Corporation, is a leading developer and manufacturer of video products designed for high quality sound and images. We talked with JVC’s National Marketing Manager of the JVC Professional Video Division, Craig Yanagi, about the company’s involvement at Capture.
Capture: JVC is a Capture veteran sponsor. What have you learned about church filmmaking since last year’s event?
Yanagi: We have learned that remote production has evolved from a feature for the future to a necessity for today. Moreover, there is a specific need for new solutions brought upon by limited access to facilities and equipment due to recent events, specifically the pandemic. JVC has long been a proponent of robust solutions on a limited budget, and our new offerings are a result of providing the features and functions requested by our key customers, of which houses of worship are an essential group.
Capture: What will Capture 2022 attendees see at the JVC booth?
Yanagi: We will be bringing our new KY-PZ510 4K PTZ camera which has ground-breaking features all contained in one device. The latest technologies incorporated into the KY-PZ510 enables the camera to provide industry-leading performance at an affordable price. In addition, we will also have our other proven workhorse cameras on hand as well as our remote production switcher to demonstrate real-world applications.
Capture: Which new products’ features will you be demonstrating?
Yanagi: The KY-PZ510 features 4K 60P streaming capability, a super-wide 80+ degree wide angle of view, our new Smart auto tracking system, support for the new NDI 5 protocol, and SRT streaming protocol for the clearest, widest, most ubiquitous, stable, and secure imagery distribution possible in one PTZ camera. We will also have our GY-HC500 Series 4K streaming camcorder with built-in streaming capability as well as our Connected Cam Studio Live Streaming Production Suite with direct distribution to multiple CDNs (Content Delivery Networks).
Capture: What makes JVC a good fit for churches?
Yanagi: Our endearment for the church market stems from the reciprocity we’ve received over the years for the support and patronage of our products. The challenges placed upon us by the churches has driven us to create products that provide ways of sending tailored messages that are visually compelling, while minimizing operation complexity as well as being sensitive to cost and time constraints. In addition, we offer the peace of mind of an available extended warranty and a support staff ready to address any questions our customers may have regarding our products. At JVC, we take ownership and operability very seriously and strive to keep our customers performing at their peak levels.
Capture: What are you looking most forward to at this year’s Capture in Atlanta?
Yanagi: We are very excited to once again be in the company of the Capture event attendees and staff who we have an affinity with. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend last year and were told we were missed by several attendees, so it will be wonderful to reunite with everyone.
Capture: Is there anything else you'd like Capture attendees to learn about JVC?
Yanagi: JVC has taken a strong stance for post-sales service by offering direct accessibility to our engineering team through our “Peace of Mind” PTZ camera support program to ensure our customers that they are fully supported beyond the sales transaction.
