Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX) is growing each year, and with that growth comes new opportunities for churches to plug into worship-specific knowledge, information and new concepts to help keep the experience fresh and riveting.
New for 2012, WFX—Sept. 19-21 at Atlanta's Georgia World Congress Center—is adding Unite for every church team member involved in worship. Unite is designed to bring together pastors, worship leaders and musicians, as well as technical directors and their teams and volunteers, to help restore every members' purpose and passion for worship.
Unite presenters will teach classes and offer training in more than 60 forums—with presenters including Saddleback Church's Rick Muchow, pastor of worship; Gateway Church's David Leuschner, executive director of technical arts; and Jennie Lee Riddle, worship pastor and songwriter.
Unite's first national event happens this September in Atlanta in conjunction with WFX 2012. So WFX attendees can attend, join in the conversation and networking, and get a glimpse of what three regional Unite events slated for 2012 will look like. (Regional events are slated for St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Boston.)

And WFX isn't just for church leaders and tech teams anymore. Starting in 2011 at WFX Dallas and continuing this year at WFX Atlanta, church architects are finding a forum for their ideas and challenges at WFX in a special design track created just for them. In association with the American Institute of Architects' (AIAs') knowledge network on church architectural design and art, the AIA Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art and Architecture (IFRAA) now offers classes for architects and designers with continuing education classes at WFX.
What does the IFRAA Design Track addition mean for church leaders? A number of the architects you work with and trust to help design your church and worship spaces are seeking continuing education targeted at creating the best, most functional and sustainable church spaces throughout history.
