AKG by Harman released the new P5i microphone at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. The dynamic microphone is the first designed to automatically configure with the new Harman Connected PA system–announced at the NAMM Show as well–providing easy setup, instant recall of performer presets, and use for a wide variety of applications.
Based on AKG's P5 dynamic vocal microphone, the P5i delivers consistent sound for lead vocals. A supercardioid pattern ensures high gain before feedback and suppresses ambient noise, even in loud venues. The heavy-duty metal body construction is designed to withstand live and touring rigors, and an integrated windscreen efficiently eliminates pop and wind noise.
As part of the Harman Connection PA system, the P5i automatically recognizes and configures with the Connected PA to take the guesswork out of setting up and quickly dialing in EQ, dynamics, and other performance controls.
The P5i will ship in spring 2017.
