Analog Ways is calling the new VIO 4K (Ref. V701) multi-format converter a Video Processing Toolbox that includes a variety of features designed for LED video wall applications. This powerful multi-format converter offers the latest generation of digital connectivity. Natively equipped with seven inputs and one multi-plug output, VIO 4K enables the conversion of a multitude of signals including: Dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI, 3G-SDI, SFP module cage, and universal analog, into an array of output signal formats up to 4K 30Hz (4K 60Hz can be accomplished via expansion modules).
The company says VIO 4K was designed to provide optimum versatility and includes three slots for optional I/O modules. Two expansion modules will be showcased during the upcoming InfoComm Show in Las Vegas: an audio processing module with professional XLR analog and AES/EBU audio connections, and a video processing module equipped with HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 input/output plugs that can
handle formats up to 4K 60Hz 4:4:4. Two other expansion modules will also be introduced: the first one is able to input/output up to eight audio channels from/to a Dante audio network, and the other one can convert HDMI 2.0 or DP 1.2 to either Quad-Link 3G-SDI or 12G-SDI, and vice versa.
With all options, VIO 4K features up to nine inputs and three outputs. Although only one source can be processed simultaneously to the three outputs at any given moment, each video delivery of the selected source can have different resolution and image area of interest. Designed for non-standard signal management, notably for LED walls, VIO 4K offers unique features and functionalities such as: output rotation with no additional latency, custom output resolution, advanced management of the area of interest, and unlimited layer resizing capabilities.
VIO 4K can be controlled directly from the front panel thanks to a large 3.5-inch color touch screen offering live visualization of sources as well as audio monitoring. A Web RCS is also available to control VIO 4K through Ethernet and USB plugs.
