Original church filmmaking has become a powerful new way of expressing the Gospel, often through channels that didn’t exist a decade ago. Church film teams are pioneering new ways to communicate its message, yet too many of these artists are working in isolation from other filmmakers on the same mission.
... the festival is open to filmmakers from any size church, at all levels of ability.
With the introduction of the Church Filmcraft Festival, filmmakers and video producers dedicated to creating content for ministry now have a venue for sharing their work and finding inspiration. Filmmakers will also have the chance to learn from other artists, explore new ideas and celebrate what’s best in this new field of expression.
Forum for film-sharing
As a part of the Capture Content Creation and Filmmaking Summit, the festival is open to filmmakers from any size church, at all levels of ability. Beyond simply celebrating production quality and technical achievement, the festival is designed to highlight creativity, storytelling, effectiveness and innovation.
The ultimate dream behind the festival is to start a larger conversation shared within a growing community of ministry artists.
At the heart of the Church Filmcraft Festival is a bedrock belief that ministry filmmakers can learn the most from a wide diversity of video expressions. From narrative to documentary, from promo to recaps, to everything in between, there’s inspiration to be found in all kinds of projects, as long as the wider community is willing to share its work with others.
The ultimate dream behind the festival is to start a larger conversation shared within a growing community of ministry artists. While church filmmaking is still in its infancy, events like this festival can help shape the future of what this unique expression can ultimately become.
