Released at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, RCF has introduced the new HDL6-A enclosure to its HDL Series line array system. The compact design and engineering of this self-powered box make this an ideal solution for both portable and installation environments.
As a sub-compact line array element, the box features two 6.5-inch midrange drivers with a 1-inch compression driver with a 100º X 100º coverage pattern. An onboard 1400-watt dual channel amplifier provides tailored DSP and gain settings. Additional rear panel options include input gain adjustments as well as two presets: one for near field when in a pole mount or ground stack application, and one adding high frequency boost for for longer throw venues.
The lightweight cabinet features fixed locking pins and two rear handles for portability and rigging. Inter-cabinet splay angles can vary from 1 to 10 degrees in width. In addition, RCF will offer the HDL12-AS, a 12-inch, 1400-watt active subwoofer enclosure designed to be flown with the full-range system or used in a ground stack situation.
