Sensaphonics has unveiled its new 3D-U earphones at the 2017 NAMM Show in Anaheim, California. As an addition to the company's AARO system, these new universal fit earphones seamlessly integrate into the Active Ambient line of monitoring for live touring, house of worship, and other applications.
Available in crossover-free single and dual-driver versions, the 3D-U earphones use the same full-range drivers and embedded binaural microphone system found in Sensaphonics 3D Custom IEMs. The 3D-U also feature the company's SensaQuad quadraxial cable, which plugs in securely like a coaxial, with four conductors to deliver both the monitor mix and ambient audio. The lightweight, compact earpieces and included eartips ensure a good fit and high-isolation seal.
Integrating into the 3D AARO system, users can control both their monitor mix and ambient environment sound through their personal bodypack. The binaural microphones embedded into the earpieces allow the user to hear everything around them with directional accuracy.
Shipping for the 3D-U earpieces will begin in February, 2017. Single-driver models will retail for $1500 while the dual-driver model will retail for $1800.
